If you’re a fan of seafood, then this experience is like the holy grail of cookery schools! Owned by world famous and award winning chef, Rick Stein, this glorious location in Padstow, Cornwall is definitely worth the trip.

Rick Stein, with cookbooks, television series and royal diners tucked firmly under his belt sets the tone for this unforgettable day where his team of professional chefs will guide you through the art of seafood cookery.

This is an exciting full on day that starts with a warm welcome and refreshments as you get to meet your fellow seafood enthusiasts and leading chefs. You’ll be handed your whites and aprons before starting on your first activity. There are plenty of demonstrations, samplings, tastings and hands-on involvement throughout the day and you’ll be under no doubts of the passion the team has for seafood and cooking in general.

In addition to the demonstrations and four lessons, you will also be treated to lunch overlooking the Camel Estuary accompanied with some wine. Tea, coffee and water will be available throughout the day to keep you refreshed. At the end of your awesome day you will receive a folder containing all of the recipes and hints and tips that you’ve encountered on the day for you to take home, so you can practice your skills and create gorgeous seafood meals for yourself.

Original Fish and Shellfish
Suitable for complete beginners through to seasoned enthusiasts, this course will teach you how to select a good fish and how to use that fish to its fullest potential. Combining the seafood with other delicious ingredients, you will learn to create dishes such as prawn and squid caldine, spring onions and soft egg noodles, baked bream in a salt crust or lobster and ginger.

Cooking from Far Eastern Odyssey
The course captures the flavours and the essence of Southeast Asian cooking with its sensory delights, eclectic tastes and prompt sophistication that invigorates and inspires the tastebuds. You may learn dishes such as fresh spring rolls, black beans with ginger, clams with beer or crab omelette with a curried coconut gravy.

Desserts with Stuart Pate
If you have a passion for desserts, then it makes to sense to learn how to create some truly delicious ones from one of the country’s best executive pastry chefs! Stuart focuses on creating some of Rick Stein’s favourite dishes from the simple to the technically challenging and may include temptations such as hazelnut and chocolate dacquoise, baked cheesecake or real hot chocolate with cinnamon churros.
